Rare! Wild roe deer came to Tangzhishan Reservoir.

Wild roe deer in the administrator’s lens

In the early winter, when the sixth ecological replenishment of Tangzhishan Reservoir started, this water area welcomed three surprising visitors — — Wild roe deer. This discovery made the Tangzhishan Reservoir have the trace record of the roe deer for the first time.

Recently, when the managers of Tangzhishan Reservoir visited the reservoir area and walked near the waterside wetland, they noticed three swaying figures not far away, and initially judged that they were a deer-like animal of medium size. In order to further confirm, they adjusted the focal length of the camera, and observed through the lens that the body hair of the three animals was grayish brown, and there were two big ears on their heads, as if they were listening to the surrounding movements warily. The manager recognized this as a roe deer.

"The roe deer is a very interesting animal, which is more common in the northeast. It is really rare to see the wild roe deer in Beijing. Most of them live in sparse forest belts, usually active in river valleys and gentle slopes. Waterfront wetlands like Tangzhishan Reservoir are also one of their favorite environments. " The manager stopped, turned off the equipment that might make noise, and quietly observed in the same place: I saw a roe deer raising its front hoof, testing on the soft mud of the wetland, and curiously looking at the surrounding environment with big eyes. They jumped around in the grass and looked cute.

In recent years, the water ecological environment of Tangzhishan Reservoir is becoming more and more perfect, and the vegetation around the water area is becoming more and more lush, creating an ideal habitat for wild animals.(Reporter Yan Yingshuo)
