Recently, the 2024 Dcar summer test ushered in the "track lap test" session. Sedans such as Zhiji L6 and Model 3, SUVs such as Lynk & Co 08 EM-P and Jitsu 01, as well as 39 different models such as Tesla pickup Cybertruck and MPV Volvo EM90 gathered on the track to challenge the lap test in a hot and humid environment.

The test results showed that Geely’s Lynk & Co 08 EM-P became the fastest SUV to complete the lap test in 2 minutes and 19.87 seconds, with excellent performance. Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is a hybrid medium-sized SUV with a length of 4.82 meters and a weight of about 2 tons. The official guide price is between 195,800 and 258,800.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the track lap test, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P performed well in the 2024 Dcar summer test. In the range extension/plug-in mixed loss test, the car ranked second with a fuel consumption of 6.94L/100km; in the wetland braking test, it took fourth place with a braking distance of 44.18m.

In addition, another Geely model, the Jitsu 01, is second only to the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, ranking second in the track lap test SUV list, demonstrating Geely’s domestic leading position. The medium and large SUV Ideal L6 achieved third place. SUV models such as the M9, Haobo HT, Xiaopeng G6, iCAR 03, and Leopard 5 also achieved high rankings.

Overall, in the lap time test of the track, the SUV with a relatively larger body and a higher center of gravity did not have an advantage over the sedan. The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, which ranked first in the SUV list, ranked sixth in the overall list. The top 5 cars were all cars, namely Zhiji L6, Model 3, ZEEKR 007, Xiaomi SU7 and NIO ET5. The test result of Zhiji L6, which ranked first in the overall list, was 2 minutes 15.06 seconds, 4.81 seconds ahead of Lynk & Co 08 EM-P. All show the good strength of Chinese brand models.
